SenSage CEO to Share PCI Compliance Best Practices
at ConSec 2008 Conference

Company Hires Brian Eberhardy, PCI Compliance Expert
and Evangelist, to Spearhead its PCI Initiative

SAN FRANCISCO - September 23, 2008—SenSage, Inc. President and CEO Jim Pflaging will discuss the challenges of responding to the Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance requirements at the ConSec 2008 conference on September 23 in Austin, Texas.

Pflaging's presentation, “Tackling the PCI Challenge,” will explore hurdles to adoption, the current state of readiness across the industry, and best practices for security and IT professionals implementing compliance and application security solutions. Using real-world examples, he will share lessons learned from organizations that have incorporated new approaches, such as using event data management solutions in the compliance process to reduce business risk.

SenSage also announced today that it has hired Brian Eberhardy, a PCI expert and technology evangelist with more than a decade of experience within the software development and information security industries. In his role at SenSage, Eberhardy will manage client relationships and the planning and implementation of security information management (SIM) and data log management warehouse software for medium and large enterprises.

Eberhardy is CISSP certified, a PCI QSA and a member of the Log Analysis Professionals community. He has experience in security incident response, security event monitoring and security information and event management (SIEM).

Prior to SenSage, Eberhardy served as a security consultant with Verizon Business (formerly Cybertrust), working with businesses requiring assistance with building security monitoring programs and implementing compliance initiatives from a security monitoring perspective. He was also previously employed at Northwestern Mutual as the team leader for the Information Security Monitoring group, responsible for building the monitoring program and overseeing the implementation of processes to satisfy security best practices and Sarbanes-Oxley.

Eberhardy has a B.S. in management computer systems and a minor in Asian studies from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

“SenSage has a strong value proposition for complying with the PCI DSS regulation, and Brian makes a great addition to our compliance team,” said Pflaging. “Brian's deep expertise in compliance regulations will further strengthen our ability to educate our customers and provide recommendations for improving their security across their networks.”
