BOINGO WIRELESS EXPANDS SERVICE
IN AUSTRALASIA REGION WITH TOMIZONE
Roaming Agreement Includes Australia and New Zealand,
Giving Boingo Subscribers Access
to 16,000 More Hotspots Down Under
LOS ANGELS, November 16, 2009—Boingo Wireless, the global leader in Wi-Fi, today announced a roaming agreement with Tomizone (www.tomizone.com), the largest Wi-Fi service provider in the Australasia region. The new agreement gives Boingo subscribers access to 4,000 Tomizone locations immediately; the remaining 12,000 Tomizone hotspots will be made accessible in coming months.
The agreement is the latest example of Boingo’s commitment to expanding service throughout the world, providing laptop, netbook and Wi-Fi-enabled smartphone owners with reliable, high-speed, affordable access wherever they travel.
Ranked as the Australasia region’s largest Wi-Fi hotspot provider by Agitavi Research Corporation Limited, Tomizone has more than 16,000 Wi-Fi hotspots in Australia, China, India, New Zealand and several Pacific Islands, as well as city-wide Wi-Fi networks in cities such as Auckland and Perth. The 4,000 immediately available Tomizone locations puts Boingo’s Wi-Fi hotspot network count at over 135,000 hotspots worldwide.
