Boingo Introduces New Unlimited Wi-Fi Plan for Asia Pacific

“Boingo Asia Pacific” Wi-Fi Internet Includes 145,000 Hotspots Throughout APAC

LOS ANGELES—June 8th, 2011—Boingo Wireless, the Wi-Fi industry's leading provider of software and services worldwide, has launched a new unlimited Asia Pacific Wi-Fi access plan for laptops that is tailored to customers connecting primarily in the Asia Pacific region, including continental Asia and Australasia.

“Boingo Asia Pacific” gives laptop users unlimited access at more than 145,000 hotspots in Asia Pacific for $11.95 (USD) per month, with large numbers of hotspots in China, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Japan. Usage outside the designated region is billed at $0.12 to $0.18 per minute and includes more than 200,000 additional hotspots across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

“The new Boingo Asia Pacific plan furthers our efforts to provide a locally relevant plan, regardless of where someone lives or uses Wi-Fi,” said Dawn Callahan, vice president of consumer marketing, Boingo Wireless. “Travelers in Asia now have an affordable option for regional Wi-Fi roaming, that also provides the flexibility of pay-as-you-go pricing for use outside their home region.”

Smartphone customers also have the option to get online via “Boingo Mobile,” an unlimited plan that includes access to Boingo's entire global network of more than 325,000 hotspots for £3.95, €4.95 or USD$7.95 per month. Boingo Mobile is available for most smartphone platforms, including Android, Blackberry, iPhone/iPod Touch, Nokia Nseries and Eseries, and Windows Mobile devices.

Customers can sign up for Boingo Asia Pacific at select airports in Asia Pacific, as well as via key network partners throughout Asia and at www.boingo.com. Other regional plans include Boingo UK & Ireland, Boingo Europe Plus, and Boingo Unlimited (North and South America), which are readily available at similar venues within their respective regions. Complete worldwide access is available with Boingo Global.

Boingo is available in 22 countries in the APAC region, including China, Korea, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, India, Singapore and Malaysia. Around the world, Boingo enables Internet access in 98 countries.
